2012

Woohoo! I finally got a blog up and running! I suppose I can cross this off my New Year's resolution list (and it's not even New Year's yet!).

December was here and gone in the blink of an eye. I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas festivities and spending time with your loved ones.

"Grab every second you can with the ones you love because you never know when that second might slip away." -Anonymous

This quote is close to my heart this holiday season as I begin to realize that I will not be spending Christmas 2012 with my family here in Pittsburgh as I have for the past 18 years. This saddens me, frightens me and excites me all at once! As 2012 quickly approaches, so does my next African Adventure- but there is still SO much to be done before I can even think about the next step in my life (such as graduating high school...). Please pray for me as I go into 2012 juggling recovery from hip surgery, school, athletics, preparing for my trip, and trying to enjoy my senior year. As the days pass, bits and pieces of my trip begin to fall into place, but there are still many vacant spots to fill. I sit here and think about the expense of the trip and sometimes I forget what an amazing God I serve and that through Him all things are possible. Please pray that I would trust in God for the provisions necessary.

Also, I ask for prayer for the less fortunate during this holiday season. The orphans that I encountered on my last trip to Kenya have been heavy on heart recently. Please keep them in your prayers as they faces challenges we can not even begin to imagine. If you feel lead to assist the Bemm's in supporting the orphans financially check out the link below to the Bemm's blog and Amy will tell you how you can help people in need this holiday season.

As you wake up and open presents and celebrate Christmas remember the true meaning and don't forget to wish Jesus a happy birthday!
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Jesus Christ, the Lord." Luke 2:11 '

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

In His love,
Hannah
